color f/Forms (2024)

27 sample plates each represent a century and the ceramic reds used in that specific century. Seen together, they show the development of the ceramic red color range from the 15th century BC to the 21st century AD.

The collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London serves as representation. In this way, the installation color f/Forms reflects not only on the history of color, but also on the change and significance of collections and museum collecting strategies.

Red was the first ceramic color. Nevertheless, no technological development in the history of ceramic color was more protracted than that of ceramic red.
